Dr. Tesha Waggoner, known as Dr. T to her patients, founded Pine Tree Pediatric Dentistry with this vision in mind. As a board-certified pediatric dentist with training from top institutions and a global perspective on oral health, Dr. T provides comprehensive, compassionate care for infants, children, and adolescents throughout Portland.
Dr. Waggoner earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish from Pepperdine University in 2006. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 2014.
She then completed a competitive General Practice Residency at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was during this residency she discovered her true calling in pediatric dentistry, leading her to return to Oregon to complete her pediatric training at OHSU in 2018.
Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. T worked and lived at an orphanage in Quito, Ecuador. There she became friends with an Ecuadorian dentist who had a profound impact on how she thought about oral health around the world.
This experience inspired her to dedicate her career to helping children develop healthy relationships with oral health. She believes every child deserves a positive dental experience, setting them up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Dr. Waggoner is board-certified in pediatric dentistry and maintains active memberships in several professional organizations. These include the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Washington County Dental Society.
Dr. Waggoner holds hospital privileges at Legacy Randall Hospital and Providence St. Vincent Hospital. There, she can provide general anesthesia and advanced treatment for children with special needs or complex dental requirements.
Dr. T lives in Portland with her husband Tony, their sons Bruce (3) and Dean (1.5) and their two lovable labradoodles, CJ and Meyers. When she’s not caring for her patients, you’ll likely find her reading, swimming, enjoying the Pacific Northwest outdoors, or cheering on the Trail Blazers.
Her warm, playful approach helps kids feel comfortable and excited about taking care of their teeth, even the ones who are nervous about dental visits.
